Slayer-Reign in blood(my review)

Show no mercy and Hell awaits were wild but Reign in blood more. Slayer showed they are very aggressive and unstoppable. I think that faster album doesn't exist in their discography. Slayer connected a ferocity, darkness, violence, hell and madness together here. It's an absolute top of their speed. Guitars by Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman are like a flash, lightning. And those solos and riffs are played as if were played by the devil. Kerry and Jeff showed talent also for creating the songs and lyrics. Absolute top is "Angel of death" with great vocals, riffs and lyrics. Another top is "Raining blood" with awesome storm like hell intro. The dark red clouds makes bloody rain and made the darkest atmosphere on this album. There are fantastic guitars at beginning. Another songs are also very good, fast but short enough. And the top is also "Piece by piece". This album is gold in their discography and also in thrash metal history.
Reign in blood showed the most aggressive face of thrash metal. In this age it was the fastest album. Very important for another generation and future in metal music.

Slayer-Hell awaits(my review)

They created darker atmosphere than on Show no mercy. The sound is rough, the guitars are brisk and vocals aggressive. The most known songs are Hell awaits and Crypts of eternity. This album also ranks among the gold age of Slayer. Some songs could be better but it's good enough. This is the way to top, to hell. Maybe Hell awaits is not sensational like Show no mercy but in that age it was sufficient.
Songs, if I can say, are with very gloomy atmosphere. Here is good audible bassguitar what's a little good. Tom Araya sings the darkest and very mad. He screams his very dark lyrics through the black clouds and curtains of horrible songs. Those lyrics are full of horror, hell, violence, evil and murder. Album cover is terrified. Slayer gathered from very dark sources. They did give it all to their music and recorded very dark album with foolish ideas. Slayer was more wild than before.

Slayer-South of heaven(my review)

After ultra fast album Reign in blood they recorded a little slower album. Slayer started to write fresher songs and atmosphere is instantly better. I know that Slayer is about fast and ferocity but I pretty good like this album. The most of all I love it. I think Slayer is not only about fast. In their music are more ideas. And they maybe wanted to show they're also universal.
I like their music, style but here on South of heaven everything is awesome. Maybe some people don't like it. Why? It's not good, hard, heavy? For me this album is a good example how Slayer can be better. I like style of this album.
South of heaven starts with a gloomy riffs in song South of heaven. "Silent scream" has a pretty awesome melody. "Live undead" has a serious atmosphere. "Behind the crooked cross" has a great lyrics. "Mandatory suicide" is an anthem. "Ghosts of war" fast song with the greatest riff, melody at the end. The end of "Chemical warfare" is similar to beginning of "Ghosts of war.  "Read between the lies" has a great melody, vocals. "Cleanse the soul" intro is similar to "Silent scream". This song is unknown enough. Ranks among my favorite because I like those riffs and vocals. "Dissident aggressor" is a cover by Judas priest and sounds like a typical Slayer sound. "Spill the blood" another slower song with very interesting intro and majestic riffs.  South of heaven is full of good ideas, riffs, melodies, vocals, lyrics. Slayer did never repeat this style. South of heaven is an ornament in their discography.

Slayer-Show no mercy(my review)

Show no mercy ranks among the first thrash metal albums in history. The four musicians Kerry King, Jeff Hanneman, Tom Araya and Dave Lombardo as known as Slayer recorded the first killing album. They turned metal music on more aggressive. With every ideas crushed the weakness, connected the power, force and violence. Their music started to be the greatest bang, hit, strike, thrashing. Songs are a masterpieces and the best are Black magic, Die by the sword or Tormentor.
Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman made the most mad riffs in thrash metal. Riffs and solos are very unique and fascinating. And absolute beast is Tom Araya. His voice is the madness. He is really good. Slayer ranks among the bands which has the first album awesome. They were so young and made the best music in the world. As the album says "Show no mercy" there's a real thrashing without mercy. On this album is the style which Slayer changed on other albums.
It couldn't be better. Here was born the most aggressive band in all history. Show no mercy has the gold place everywhere. Here is the first anger of the beast named Slayer.

Exodus-Blood in, blood out(my review)

Zetro is back in Exodus and I am happy because this man is right singer for band. Now when he is back it began a new stage for this awesome band.
I don't say that the last albums aren't good but Zetro feeds Exodus with vocals better. On the last albums were good riffs and songs and what is on Blood in blood out is admirable. I think they are all in the best force like before. Every song is a wild ride through the hell. Gary Holt and Lee Altus as main saws created killing sharp riffs and solos. Drums by Tom Hunting are exact like a time. Drums cuts with every guitar riff. Bassguitar by Jack Gibson clatters through the songs. Zetro is very sharp saw. He sings aggressive and strong like before. His voice is still same good.
Exodus wrote the mad lyrics again. All the music on Blood in blood out shows the real face of Exodus. Here is no weakness, no slow tempo. The great thrashing. Exodus recorded the best album since tempo of the damned.
It's a truth that where there's Zetro there is a success. Tempo of the damned was in attention and now is in attention Blood in blood out.

Exodus-Tempo of the damned(my review)

This is the return to real thrashing Exodus where no song is weak. After long time since Impact is imminent its a crushing music. The sound is good and atmosphere is admirable. It was a surprise that they recorded another jewel and gold album after Force of habit.
Everything is created as one strong structure. Tempo of the damned is the attack, pressure for ears and brain. Guitars plays a true crushing sharp riffs which are the best by Exodus. They took a fragments and created the fortress. This album ranks among successful and 100% hell. Those guitars explodes like the volcano. Pretty good melodies are War is my shepherd, Blacklist or Impaler.
Gary Holt shows here he is the brain of Exodus. His riffs kills, crushes and destroys. Gary is a thrasher.
Also another members makes true madness.
Steve Zetro screams more and better like before. His performance is admirable in every song. Exodus wrote lyrics mad again. Here is also cover song by AC DC Dirty deeds done dirt cheap which is great and interesting in Exodus style. This album is a clear example that Exodus are and will be thrashers forever.

Exodus-Force of habit(my review)

And here is another Exodus. But I ask myself what Exodus?
This is absolute personal and unique album. They did never repeat that style again because they're not monotonous.
Just Force of habit is after long time a good glance to age when Exodus and some bands were playing slower and by their own will. If someone wanted thrashing album then it wasn't.
After speed Impact is imminent it was for Exodus a trial by fire. I don't know how was Force of habit successful but is pretty good and it's interesting to hear Exodus in this style. Album is not very chaotic so songs are more fresh and funny. Force of habit is not very weak. I very like it. Songs are very good divided on fast and slow. Of course here is also heared talent by Gary Holt and Rick hunolt so called Architect of pain is a great 11 minutes song with awesome atmosphere and melodies. And then here is also a good thrashing as in Feeding time at the zoo.
But mainly on Force of habit are majestic riffs with nice melody (Count your blessings, Climb before the fall, Architect of pain).
Song One foot in the grave is very sad and slowly rolling. But songs Thorn in my side, Me myself and I, Force of habit, Climb before the fall, When it rains it pours, Count your blessings are with funny atmosphere and they are core of this album.
Song Good day to die is the slowest song with almost silent atmosphere and atypical for Exodus style.
And Steve is adapted in some songs where he sings very really with changed ways. In Good day to die he sings very clean. He sings mainly clean in every song.
But Zetro somewhere also screams. But only somewhere. Feeding time at the zoo is for his vocals the more aggressive in album.

Lyrics are very changed, this album is full of frases for usual life and some opinions. Lyrics from those songs are about it.
Thorn in my side
Me myself and I
Force of habit
Climb before the fall
When it rains it pours
Good day to die
Count your blessings
One foot in the grave

Another lyrics are about some stories. Exodus wrote a lyrics, songs atypical for them. But I think they created peculiarity and it's interesting. When there was no way out from the whole then Force of habit is light in the dark. Force of habit is a total rest from thrash metal.

Exodus-Impact is imminent(my review)

Exodus made the razors from guitars. They went and turned the sound sharper and more cutting. Also Zetro started to sing and scream higher than before.
Impact is imminent is maybe not very favorite or successful but should be in attention. Through very sharp riffs as in the song Impact is imminent here are also a good melodic solos and riffs(Changing of the guard, The lunatic parade). The most crushing song is mainly Thrash under pressure for aggressive riffs and vocals.
Album Impact is imminent has a little chaotic atmosphere as in Objection overruled. And the sound of this album could be better. But impact is imminent is my favorite album because those songs are awesome.
And album cover is fantastic. Lyrics are about varied things and good adapted to songs. Impact is imminent is album that someone can likes or hates.
Impact is imminent is the middle way to varied feelings.

Exodus-Fabulous disaster(my review)

The third strike by the hurricane Exodus is in the stronger style than Pleasures of the flesh album. It has also sharper guitars and has very majestic riffs.
If I listen songs The toxic waltz, Fabulous disaster or Open season I can't believe my ears how good it is. Those solos, Drums and killing vocals are pretty good.
Also another songs are interesting. Here are the two cover songs by WAR and AC DC. Cover version by WAR sounds surprising and by AC DC is some rest at the end.
Of course album is another hell after Bonded by blood. Pleasures of the flesh was good but Fabulous disaster is excellent.
I think it's the best album where Steve sings. His voice is more aggressive, fresh and it's awesome. Fabulous disaster is for Exodus very important album and makes the gold place in their discography. Top of their career together with Bonded by blood.
When I look at lyrics its real fabulous disaster and lyrics in The toxic waltz are the best by Exodus. DO THE TOXIC WALTZ-it says for all.
I think this is real Exodus. Exodus is disaster here. It crushes, kills, destroys and crushes again and again.
It's a good friendly violent fun.

Exodus-Pleasures of the flesh(my review)

Paul Baloff was out. Steve Zetro Souza left the Legacy and joined Exodus.
This album is with songs that are more melodic with of course great rolling riffs. Album contains fast and slower songs. Absolute Killing song is Deranged which is unstoppable and has sharp riffs. Another fast songs are good, mainly Choose your weapon.
Exodus created here some slower songs with mighty and majestic riffs-Till death do us part, Braindead or Chemi-kill.
Pleasures of the flesh it's not otherwise Bonded by blood but this album is fresher and more interesting.
Exodus created songs with melodic solos, riffs. This album is not only about fast madness. Guitars makes majestic riffs, drums are rolling and bassguitar grumbles.
And the vocals are made by absolute unique voice by Steve Zetro Souza. Steve sings here at first time and his performance is more than admirable. His screamings became the sign of Exodus. Paul was good and I think Steve was and is better. Nobody can sing better Exodus than Steve. And nobody will be better. Steve made and makes the true thrashing atmosphere in Exodus.
Pleasures of the flesh is another step to the top.

Exodus-Bonded by blood(my review)

In the year 1985 was born the most awesome album which killed every weak place in music.
Bonded by blood is the first strike in Exodus history and it's very strong. Exodus had a two great axes-Gary Holt and Rick Hunolt. Those guitarists was the brains of this album. Their guitars sounds very sharp. Sharper than guitars on Kill 'em all by Metallica.
This album is the fast bullet of fire. Those every songs are great because Exodus has a big thrashing talent. Bonded by blood is a gold brick in thrash metal house. Every ideas together with great atmosphere made the album which is ranked among the jewels.
When bands Metallica, Slayer or Overkill started to play a big thrashing then Exodus more. The guitars, drums and bassguitar are aggressive. But what Paul Baloff was doing was mad, killing and wild. Paul Baloff was like a beast which made the horror atmosphere. His vocals was like a lion's roar cutting the brain and ears.
And the first Exodus lyrics are on Bonded by blood full of blood, murders, hate and violence. For example Slayer has mad lyrics but Exodus also. Bonded by blood is one of the most mad albums of all times in thrash metal.
Exodus is a hurricane which shows own strength.

Testament-The ritual(my review)

After the four big albums nobody known that they will record a very independent album. Testament was still connecting a heavy riffs with melodic atmosphere. But here is Testament very melodic.
For someone it's not good enough but in my opinion Testament broken the wall of black age for thrash metal. They are good in that style. I love it. Yes it's not The Legacy but.
Also those excellent thrashers know to be universal.
Through it all I hear the guitars with an attractive sound, melody and Chuck voice. Chuck showed his clean singing without screams or anger. Lyrics are more fresh, simple. Testament changed the ways but not music. The ritual contains a very nice songs, melodies and solos. Here are also heavy riffs for example in "Agony".
And mainly solos by Alex Skolnick are the ornaments of this album. "Return to serenity" ranks among the best ballads by Testament.
The band tried to create something newer for their style. They recorded what they didn't repeat. It was a special age when the bands were playing slower. There is no reason to hate Testament for this album.
The ritual is an ornament in their discography.

Testament-Souls of black(my review)

After three albums which ranks among the jewels this album is the varied collection of The new order and Practice what you preach. All the sound, riffs, structure is very closes to those albums.
Testament created typical style on The New order and od Souls of black continues with this style. Here are the songs which sounds fresh as "Face in the sky" or songs with a newer ideas "Malpractice". There are some heavy elements as in the "One man's fate".
And the habit of Testament are the slow songs"The legacy".
The most known song is "Souls of black" which is considerably successful.
There is not very big difference between ferocity and melody. I think the new order is more melodic than Souls of black but those albums are relative.
Souls of black album is universal for Testament and some new elements makes it good. I think Testament were in the gold way but there were some changes. It's truth they will never overcome album The Legacy but atmosphere of The New Order they imitated.
This sound and style is the best for them. Testament is somewhat more in endeavor to be better. They did never go where there was the weakness. Souls of black is good but it could be better. But it's another jewel. The most of all I still admire the ability to be still awesome, to be still a great songwriters and musicians.

Testament is an phenomenon. Every year there was one album. The Legacy(1987), The New Order(1988), Practice what you preach(1989) and Souls of black(1990).

Souls of black is full of various feelings and moods.
When I read between the lines those lyrics are also my favorite. I love Testament philosophy. They know very good say what they feel.

"They're bleeding so black"

Testament-Practice what you preach(my review)

This is totally great. This is perfect. Third album and my feelings are good enough. Maybe some people hates that album but I don't. It's a thing which Testament did never recorded again. It's a thing with awesome music. This album contains a very majestic atmosphere. Those refrains, riffs, vocals. Everything is a product of geniality. The most of all I love this album. Testament sounds attractive. They made the metal with their style and they know what is the best. Through bassguitar and drums to the fascinating guitars and solos. The voice of Chuck Billy is in the good condition and position. He is the master singer here. Sings every song so good and with perfection. Lyrics are typical. Some changes somewhere. The songs are hard enough, mainly Sins of omission. But here is the most beautiful song by Testament-The ballad.
When I look at lyrics again here is one very interesting, truthful-Greenhouse effect.
Testament connected the elements of thrash metal with hard rock. And it sounds perfect.

Testament-The new order(my review)

Album is another great creation from those thrashers. The legacy was ranked very high and the new order is also the top. The newer ideas are added in very interesting songs. They were at the top and also went to the thrash metal hell. When others band's started to build thrash metal house Testament didn't sleep. They were catching every riff, every melody to make the best. Absolute awesome are Alex Skolnick and Eric Peterson. Really a big talents for songwritting. They both makes an unique atmosphere for those melodies.
Drums and bassguitar are attached to songs like a nails in the wall. Bassguitar's melodies flows in canyon of hell, desire and ferocity. And above the canyon screams the almighty Chuck Billy who crushes the canyon walls and melts the rocks with his strong voice.
Lyrics are my favorite from Testament on that album. I think Testament's philosophy is very wise.
I can't choose which song is better because it's hard. Every song, every track is great.
But the best song for solos is Musical death. This instrumental song is genial.
Testament came, recorded and showed that they're not a green-horns. Or small band without ideas and talent.
Testament made the new order.

Testament-The legacy(my review)

The band was born as the Legacy where Steve Souza was a singer.
After departure of Souza The Legacy started to look for a new singer. The new singer became Chuck Billy. And then they changed the name on Testament.

The ideas were born and Testament recorded the first album in 1987.
The first and so great. Album contains very good melodies, solos, ideas, vocals and atmosphere.
Absolute top of thrash metal. It's interesting how Testament became a very important thing in metal music. When I listen this album there's no weakness or boredom. Testament showed they're a skilled musicians and recorded a GREAT album.
Guitars makes awesome riffs, solos, melodies. And mainly guitars solos are majestic.
Alex Skolnick is one of the most talented guitarist in music.
And unique voice of Chuck Billy. Chuck has a powerful voice and a great vocal range. His style is a very inimitable. There are the vocals with screams, power, strength and perfection. His the best vocals are in Over the wall, The haunting, First strike is deadly, C.O.T.L.O.D., Do or die and Apocalyptic city.
In this album are the best refrains which Testament created. In every song is the power. This are a very beautiful compositions. The legacy was, is and will be one of the golden bricks in thrash metal house.
This album is for Testament absolute top.
The legacy ranks among the jewels as Metallica-Master of puppets, Anthrax-Among the living, Exodus-Bonded by blood or Overkill-The years of decay.

Overkill-The killing kind(my review)

This album is very characterful, distinctive, individual, unique, only one. Overkill did never repeat this style. Album has own lines, characteristic features, attributes.
Overkill is resourceful but very. Album is divided on heavy and simple songs. The heavy songs are-Battle, Godlike, certifiable, Let me shut that for you, Feeding frenzy and Cold hard fact.
The simple songs are-Burn you down/to ashes, The cleansing and nice song The mourning after/Private bleeding.
Bold face pagan stomp is between heavy and simple.
Album contains one of the best mysterious intro"Burn you down/to ashes". DD Verni bass makes awesome horror atmosphere. Overkill is with that intro very capricious. And here is also another earnest bassguitar intro in "Cold hard fact". It's a real cold hard song.
Lyrics which contains the album are in a little chaotic style. Meaning is in the other philosophy.
Bobby Blitz sings in the chaotic style for example in Cold hard fact. And he uses other phrases. His the best vocal performance is in (Battle, Certifiable, Let me shut that for you, The cleansing, Cold hard fact).
Bobby shows his real singing in "The mourning after/Private bleeding".
This is the one song in the most beautiful atmosphere for Overkill.
It's great to hear Bobby in this song.
When they were recording The Killing kind they wanted something new probably. The killing kind is the album which don't rank among the best.
For someone is good for someone not.
For someone is unique for someone not. Someone can love it or someone cannot.
I think the album is good for today and not for the future. Here are a good songs but some songs could be better.
The killing kind is with own heart, brain and soul.
