Overkill-The years of decay(my review)

After albums feel the fire, Taking over and Under the influence Overkill recorded and created more hard and Thrash album. The songs Elimination, Time to kill, I hate, Nothing to die for, Birth of tension and Evil never dies are a typical thrash songs with aggressive, sharp vocals, melodies. And just Bobby's voice is really sharp at first time on this album. Bobby prefered a pure, clean singing. Just on this album started sings really for thrash metal.
Well, Bobby was great but on Years of decay definitive.
Album cover is one of my favorite. It shows the mood of every song.

Time to kill- starts with a humming guitars. Then starts the great intro and then the killing vocals, melodies. All instruments are perfect.

Elimination-the most known song from Overkill. Ornament at the concerts. This song has very awesome video. Great vocals, refrain, solo, bass, drums, lyrics. One of the heaviest song they recorded.

I hate-capricious intro. Another aggressive, fast song with catchy refrain, solo, melody. Big ornament at the concerts.

Nothing to die for-starts with cutting drums and a typical bass with jumping melody. Interesting lyrics, fast solo, crushing riffs.

Playing with spiders/skullkrusher-mysterious instrumental song. Skullkrusher has the darkest riff which Overkill created. This is real influence of Black Sabbath. Bobby sings pulmonary, fluent. After refrain song starts with cutting riff and sharp vocals. Confusing solo, crushing melody and return to slow melody.

Birth of tension-rolling intro, sharp riffs. Typical vocals, crushing drums, bass. One of their best refrain. True tension.

Who tends the fire-the best, really the best intro which they created. Gloomy mood. I love bass sound in the song. Refrain is so mysterious like moon and night. Lyrics makes the song so capricious. Song ends fast and heavy. Bobby sings very good and very sensual.

The years of decay-really great ballad. So excellent voice, guitars. This song they played at concerts sometimes rarely. The end is with great drums.

Evil never dies-pulling intro, fast and wild tempo, cutting voice, guitars. Rarely played at concerts. The last strike at the end.

This album is full of great, majestic, unique ideas. Overkill created his style just here.
Album which has good audible every instrument. It's very good the bass is so audible. Dd Verni bass style is unique. Everything is admirable. Every song has a great ideas. Album which Overkill will never overcome. Never.
100% precision and perfection.

Overkill-The grinding wheel(my review)

The "green" New Jersey thrashers are here with their another baby. The green because this colour is their sign. This album has 10 songs with a story, idea and unique atmosphere. I know that albums "The electric age" and " White devil armory" are connected  with invisible thread of ideas. I know it's hard to record better album like those two. But Overkill did manage good. The album is out and the feeling that comes out of my heart and brain is positive but fresh. I did see all lyrics from albums and I know what is about. I did hear almost every Overkill song and I know what they feel. The house of thrash metal is full of good albums and "The grinding wheel" should be there. Overkill is thrash metal but in their own style. And don't expect a weakness. Music is somewhere a typical Overkill and somewhere a new food. Lyrics are changed. They are not very heavy. Lyrics on the grinding wheel are about other things and topics like are on others albums. Lyrics are more ripe.

The sound of guitars are sharp, typical Overkill with impact of great solos. I admire Derek "the skull" Tailer  and Dave Linsk guitar perfection. Unstoppable, precise drums. And of course here is a clattering DD Verni's bassguitar. His sound makes Overkill great. And here is also absolute unique wild voice of Bobby "Blitz"Ellsworth. Bobby is better than before. The older he is the more perfect he is. He has the blades inside the vocal chords. The best he sings in those songs- mean green killing machine, come heavy, red white and blue, the grinding wheel, our finest hour.
In my opinion the album "The grinding wheel" is guarantee that Overkill will continue in the great way. That Overkill will never leave this house which they knows the best. Overkill is, was and still will be a symbol of power, energy, speed, ferocity, precision and perfection.

Mean, green killing machine- great, my favourite.
Goddamn trouble-great everything.
Our finest hour-good and interesting lyrics.

The grinding wheel- grinding song.

Overkill-The grinding wheel(95% all album).
