Destruction-Release from agony(my review)

Another German thrash metal band was playing extreme enough music and they recorded fantastic albums in the years 1980-1988. Just album Release from agony is their absolute top of career. Those songs are technical, hard, heavy, fast. Destruction used the complicated riffs and vocals which are hard enough to be played. Album Release from agony ranks among very technical, heavy albums in thrash metal.
Music of band Destruction is difficult, sensational, fascinating. And admirable is the performance of every musicians here. The guitar master Mike Sifringer is not a human here, he is a machine for a fascinating riffs, melodies.
And unique voice of Marcel "Schmier"Schirmer who sings so good. Drums plays very hard but interesting through the songs. Destruction also belong to the ultimate thrash metal bands because this album is so unique and insuperable. Songs on this album contains so fantastic melodies, solos, refrains. It's a pretty good masterpiece.
Lyrics are about politics, life, death, history, fear or hate. Album starts with very beautiful instrumental intro "Beyond eternity". "Release from agony" has the best crushing riffs at the beginning of album. "Dissatisfied existence" has good vocals, refrains, melodies. "Sign of fear" is with dark, mysterious atmosphere, impressive song. "Unconscious ruins" has the hard riffs, vocals. "Incriminated" makes crushing atmosphere. "Our oppression" starts with sharp riffs, melodies. Song has fantastic refrain. "Survive to die" is another crushing song with pretty awesome solo, melodies, refrain. Guitar work is excellent.
Release from agony album is a gold album in thrash metal history.

Sepultura-Beneath the remains(my review)

They continued in the style of Schizophrenia album, made the sound better and created another great songs. Of course this album became more successful than previous albums. It was obvious ascent.
This album became fantastic and it's still favourite. Sharp guitars, aggressive vocals, crushing drums and bass guitar are the main bricks of this album. Songs are technical, fast and ferocious. The most interesting song is "Beneath the remains" which starts with mysterious intro and has fast riffs.
Other popular songs are "Mass hypnosis",  "Slaves of pain", "Lobotomy", "Primitive future",  "Stronger than hate",  the way was gold for Sepultura and it was sensational age. They created the most aggressive face of thrash metal. Beneath the remains ranks among fantastic albums in their discography.

Sepultura-Schizophrenia(my review)

Sepultura changed the dark style to real thrash metal with more melodies. Songs contains the ferocity and melody and result is fantastic. Songs sounds more fresh and more interesting. They kept the speed and made the sharper guitars. Most of all I like drums by Igor Cavalera on this album. His style is so unique and sensational. His drums really crush every second of song. Max and Andreas plays mad riffs, solos. As I said everything is here more interesting than on Morbid vision. The used the acoustic guitars at the first time. Intro to "Inquisition symphony" is perfect and acoustic song "The abyss" is beautiful.
Album starts with mysterious intro (0:31). And other songs "From the past comes the storms", "To the wall", "Escape the void", "Screams behind the shadows", "Septic schizo" and "R.I.P.(Rest in pain)" are full of the great riffs, vocals, lyrics, atmosphere. Those songs are mad thrashing, extreme storms, fascinating work, great melodies and unique style.
Sepultura was going to the top with this album which ranks among the gold age.
Schizophrenia album also belong to the great thrash metal history.

Sepultura-Morbid visions(my review)

The band from Brazil which started to play thrash metal with own ideas. It's unbelievable. They recorded album with the influence of Venom, Destruction, Kreator, Slayer or Exodus. They showed that the extreme music can be played also in Brazil. It's admirable their music did conquer the world. Their native blood is present and audible on every album. On Morbid visions album are the songs with mass of extreme riffs, melodies, refrains, vocals. This album contains dark lyrics about devils, wars, hell and mad violence. Sepultura's first songs sounds very aggressive. Absolute wilderness are "Mayhem", "War" or "Funeral rites". Waves of those songs are fascinating. Very unique is the guitar's sound. Guitars plays ferocious melodies and solos and that makes all crushing. Here is also angry, mad voice of by Max Cavalera. His voice makes this album more aggressive, strong, dark. Drums and bass are striking through the guitars like a thunder. This album is a total thunder and ranks among the most extreme albums like Slayer's Hell awaits.
On this album was born one of the most important band in thrash metal.

Sodom-Better off dead(my review)

The classic album "Agent orange" was born and Sodom needed to record something newer. This album is unique, strong and interesting in every elements. Songs sounds very fresh and has a true Sodom atmosphere. A true fantastic atmosphere. Pretty sharp guitars in the fast songs "An eye for an eye", "Shellfire defense", "Capture the flag", "Blood trails", "Tarred and feathered", "Never healing wound" and in crushing "Better off dead". In those fast songs are awesome refrains, vocals, riffs.
Slower songs "The saw is the law", "Cold sweat", Resurrection" has rolling riffs, vocals and melodies. Songs"Turn your head around" and "Stalinorgel" are a good ornaments of this album.
Sodom recorded really varied album. Better off dead ranks among jewels in their discography. Songs sounds more interesting than on Persecution mania. This album has a relentless style. They showed here they are skilled musicians, songwriters. And they know to create the impressive songs with great atmosphere.
Lyrics are about war, politics, stories, history, hate, justice. Sodom did write a better lyrics than before and created a better album. Every instrument has a pretty good sound here. In the world of Sodom cannot be a better place for this album. It's very good built up, created music.

Sodom-Agent orange(my review)

After dark, heavy Persecution mania Sodom came with album that has 100% in their discography. Songs contains great riffs. Every melodies, strikes of drums and thrashing vocals are fascinating. This album has power. Mighty construction is very strong. Sodom became as good as other thrash metal bands with this album.
"Agent orange" is the most popular song by Sodom. It has mighty intro, riffs and refrain. "Tired and red" is fast in the middle is the rest and then guitars plays crushing riff. "Incest" is a mad song with rough lyrics, vocals. "Remember the fallen" with truthful lyrics. It's popular enough song. "Magic dragon" and "Exhibition bouts" are a typical thrash songs with fantastic, perfect atmosphere.
"Ausgebombt" has really impressive melody and refrain. "Baptism of fire" another perfect song with crushing atmosphere and great refrain. "Don't walk away" is final cover song by Tank.
Lyrics of this album are mainly about Vietnam War.(Agent orange- ground assault aircraft AC-47) or Magic dragon(Douglas AC47Spooky). Baptism of fire, Tired and red, Remember the fallen and Ausgebombt are about wars, victims of wars in the world.
Lyrics of those songs shows horror of war. Album Agent orange has a gold place in thrash metal world.

Sodom-Persecution mania(my review)

First album was, is terrible. On this album they started to write more interesting songs. Album contains fast and sharp, heavy riffs and vocals, drums. Bass guitar sounds awesome here. Sodom created own style, sound. Persecution mania contains fast songs "Nuclear winter", "Electrocution", "Enchanted land", "Christ passion" or fantastic drum intro in "Conjuration".
"Procession to Golgotha" is dark, very mysterious instrumental song. This album contains also very good solos and refrains with lyrics. On this album was born real Sodom as the big band from Germany. It's not so great like Kreator's Pleasure to kill or Terrible certainty. Persecution mania is impressive album and ranks among thrash metal history.
"Iron fist" is cover by Motorhead and it sounds interesting and majestic. Lyrics in songs "Nuclear winter" and "Persecution mania" are the best from this album.
"Nuclear winter" is about nuclear war and "Persecution mania" is about Vietnam War. Sodom has interesting philosophy in own taste. Persecution mania album became popular and great in their career. I think Sodom recorded this album to show what is thrash metal in Germany.
And it's admirable from this band. Maybe it could be better but maybe this music on Persecution mania is magic. It means the sound of guitars , bass, drums and strong voice makes that right feeling. Here in the world is only one Sodom.
