After "I hear black" album they started to be harder. But it was an experimental period too. And hard attack starts immediately with "Where it hurts?". It's a great charge.
The groove metal connected with thrash metal sounds perfectly in their own way. They did it very well.
After all these years this metal work sounds surprisingly great. All this album have an attractive and unique atmosphere.
Every musical instrument is audible very well. Mainly D.D. Verni's bassguitar. It really makes this band an unique musical wonderment.
"W.F.O." is a rapid torpedo in metal ocean. Explosion of volcano, tornado of mass destruction. Guitars are demolishing, playing absolutely breathtaking riffs, melodies, solos. It's a supernatural power.
A typical, unique and excellent bassguitar is an important part not only for this album. I can't imagine Overkill without D.D. and his bassguitar. It's inseparable.
Drums are a fantastic shoot in every song. Bobby Blitz sings ,as always, good. His voice, something between screaming and singing is for this band typical. Without him this band would be boring. Bobby and D.D. gives a special magic to this band. Lyrics are full of insane things typical for this band. They are amazing too.
It's hard to choose one best song. Overkill recorded a hidden treasure. It's a masterpiece. One of their hardest albums.
Overkill is exploding with stunning power here.
