OVERKILL-ReliXIV (my review)

Thunderstorm is now stronger and rumbles inside the atmosphere of metal world.
Thrashing lightnings strikes and burn the ground. A great destructive hurricanes has appeared. A volcanic bat gush a fire. Yeah, this is excessive, destructive thrash metal force. This is Overkill. A monster with many great songs also on this album. It's an elixir of power, persistence and energy. They've fed up the metal world with another hot album.
This explosive musical jewel contains a guitar riffs full of hard stones. Crushing better than before. Clanking bassguitar is like a furious shark in metal ocean.
Cannonade of drums is driving the storm on and on. Screaming siren, Bobby Blitz, his singing awakes the metal volcanoes. He is unique and excellent.
Lyrics tells many insane, impressive stories. The best ones are in "Bats in the belfry". This song is also the best on this album. ReliXIV is a thrash metal elixir and relics.

OVERKILL-Bloodletting (my review)

The bright continuation of Necroshine was a natural way. Natural evolution.
Overkill entered to new millennium with a newer face also with previous album.
It was a way to typical thrashing, to great Ironbound.
Overkill was simply getting better. This groove/thrash metal thunderstorm is an amazing musical adventure. Energy and power is more highlighted. Naturally, it's a harder piece of metal. A thunder in the metal sky. It's also a very attractive thrashing madness.
Consistence is inside a solid guitar riffs and sound. Colossal, rumbling drums and piercing, clanking bassguitar is something insanely excellent.
Bobby is in great performance. Sharp, powerful, energetic vocals.
Lyrics are impressive again.
Bloodletting is an improved version of Necroshine album. It shows a thunderous face of this band which has recorded many great albums, songs. On this piece of metal they've proved they're a great, unique songwritters again. In own essence, it's a various artwork. Admirable mass of precious metal.

OVERKILL-Necroshine (my review)

Shining Necroshine was slowly showing a better way to thrash metal in Overkill style which they play now.
There's a little sign to be harder. The way to some roots, to better newer performance.
Overkill recorded more interesting songs than on previous album. More impressive and attractive ones. With more energy and ideas. Also album cover is more shining.
Music is awaken here. Inside groove metal and thrash metal madness, of course, this is more about thrashing, fast and hard hit.
Guitars are an explosion of great riffs, solos. It's like a battle of melodies in musical battlefield.
Here is a vividness, vibrancy and pleasure. Clanking bassguitar is something cool and stunning.
Energetic drums in this ride totally rules. Bobby finally sings like before. Energy and power is gushing from his voice and band too. Another fantastic thing is that Bobby's sister Mary sings background vocals in "Let us prey" and with him in "Revelation".
Lyrics are also more interesting and more characteristic for this band. Necroshine is resurrection and betterment. They were on the way to better albums. Necroshine proudly shines in heavy metal sky.
It's a stunning ornament in their discography. One of my favorite Overkill albums. In som essence it is a masterpiece. It's pleasure to listen. Necroshine is a bright beginning to a new Overkill years from 2000 to nowadays. They've found their new face. Necroshine is hot and cold at the same time.

OVERKILL-From the underground and below (my review)

Another mix of groove metal and thrash metal. It's more about groove metal.
Solid piece of metal experiment. Some songs are really different enough. Or some parts in tunes. For example "Save me".  So it's something newer for them.
But what can I write? They've had such period. In some songs are some excellent riffs even if this album is not totally the best. But unique in its own way and essence.
This music comes from the underground to shake the ground. And it's doing very well with that sound. This unique album contains alterative parts in songs. There are different, occasionally strange moods.
Some melodies are sombre, slow, dark, or fast and heavy. Guitars in this musical mix plays riffs, solos in different speeds and ways. Bass is damped, not audible like on "W.F.O."
Drums are with a good sound. And vocals? Bobby sings in some parts of tunes unusually. He mainly sings in lower tones. Lyrics are about various things in their style. In their own songwriting philosophy.
In my opinion, the best songs are "It lives", "Long time dying", F.U.C.T.", "The rip 'n' tear".
And the most, totally most beautiful tune is "Promises". It's a stunning, shining star. Japanese bonus track "Space trucking" by Deep Purple is pretty cool cover.

OVERKILL-W.F.O. (my review)

After "I hear black" album they started to be harder. But it was an experimental period too. And hard attack starts immediately with "Where it hurts?". It's a great charge.
The groove metal connected with thrash metal sounds perfectly in their own way. They did it very well.
After all these years this metal work sounds surprisingly great. All this album have an attractive and unique atmosphere.
Every musical instrument is audible very well. Mainly D.D. Verni's bassguitar. It really makes this band an unique musical wonderment.
"W.F.O." is a rapid torpedo in metal ocean. Explosion of volcano, tornado of mass destruction. Guitars are demolishing, playing absolutely breathtaking riffs, melodies, solos. It's a supernatural power.
A typical, unique and excellent bassguitar is an important part not only for this album. I can't imagine Overkill without D.D. and his bassguitar. It's inseparable.
Drums are a fantastic shoot in every song. Bobby Blitz sings ,as always, good. His voice, something between screaming and singing is for this band typical. Without him this band would be boring. Bobby and D.D. gives a special magic to this band. Lyrics are full of insane things typical for this band. They are amazing too.
It's hard to choose one best song. Overkill recorded a hidden treasure. It's a masterpiece. One of their hardest albums.
Overkill is exploding with stunning power here.
